Accommodation at King's School Oxford
- We believe it's very important to find you the right place to live.
- We visit and inspect all accommodation.
- We make all the arrangements for you.
- All our accommodation is near to the school.
- Most students walk to school every day.
Most of our students stay with local families. This is not a new idea - Oxford students have been living as guests of local families for about 700 years!
Homestay Accommodation
Host family accommodation is available throughout the year. You can see some pictures of host family rooms.
Staying with a host family is an excellent way for you to:
- learn about the English way of life
- practise speaking English with them
- meet other English people
Your family will give you:
- a comfortable bedroom to sleep and study in
- breakfast and supper every day
- lunch at the weekend
- a warm welcome!
Don't be nervous about staying with an English family! Most of our host families have King's School students all the year round. They understand very well what it is like to be a student with us. Many of our students become friends with "their" families and stay in touch with them for years after they leave the school.
Our Student Welfare Officers promise... "If you're unhappy or need to change your host family, we'll move you as soon as possible. If you have any problems of any kind, we're here to help you!"
