King’s School Oxford is an approved TOEIC testing centre for Educational Testing Services (ETS). The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) test measures the everyday English skills of people working in an international environment. King’s School Oxford runs the test every month and can also organise tests on demand for special groups.
There are two sections to the TOEIC test; listening and reading. The listening lasts approximately 45 minutes and the reading takes 75 minutes. The questions are all multiple choice.
You can the test at King’s School Oxford on Friday afternoons. The test starts at 1.30pm and finishes at approximately 4.00pm. All candidates have to fill in a background questionnaire at the beginning of the test. You should arrive at the school by 1.00pm so that we can register you.
The closing date is usually 2 weeks before the test but there may be places available after this date. So please check this on our website or contact us by phone. We will try our best to accommodate you.
If you cannot take the test for medical reasons and can show a full medical certificate, you will be offered the next available test without extra charge. If you wish to cancel or postpone for any other reason, you must give at least two weeks notice and there will be an administrative charge. If you cancel or postpone later than this, you will forfeit the whole test fee. Please put all cancellations and postponements in writing (by post, fax or email).
Yes. You will need to bring a current ID document to the test. It must show a recent, recognisable photograph and your signature. You can bring your passport, driver’s licence, national ID or military ID. You must bring the original document to the test as photocopies are not acceptable. If you have any questions about your ID, please contact the centre.
Results sent by post will be despatched within two working days. Emailed results will be sent to you on the day of despatch.
The test (including score report) is £65.00
There are two optional extras:

Results by email + £5.00
It is important to become familiar with the test format. The Examinee Booklet can help you with this; it contains a sample test and shows you how to fill in your answer sheet. You can order a copy of this booklet free of charge from King’s School. In your everyday life, practise your English by reading, watching TV, listening to tapes, speaking to friends and colleagues or by taking an English course.
